Many payroll firms do not want another browser tab. They want Inputo inside their stack — triggered when a client uploads a file to their portal, or when a new hire packet lands in SharePoint.
That is why we are building a REST API for Business plan customers.
What the API will do
Send a document (PDF, DOCX, or image) to Inputo's API and receive structured employee JSON in response — the same data you see in the app today. Optionally request a direct export payload formatted for A3Nom, TeamSystem, PHC GO, Moneysoft (CSV), or Silae without clicking export in the UI.
Typical use cases include: onboarding portals that push files to Inputo automatically, RPA flows that watch folders, and internal tools that need reliable extraction without maintaining fragile screen-scraping scripts.
Built for automation, not experiments
The API will use API keys, rate limits aligned with your plan, and clear error responses. Webhooks for job completion are on the roadmap so your systems can react when long OCR jobs finish.
Business plan subscribers will get priority access during beta. If your team processes hundreds of files per month and already uses custom integrations, this is the feature to watch.
Until the API ships, the web app already handles multi-language OCR and country-specific exports — useful as a reference for the payloads the API will mirror.
